VPPPA Safety & Health Achievement ProgramApplication Deadline: May 7, 2012Whether it is at the worksite or in the community, the VPPPA Safety & Health Achievement Program provides special acknowledgement to non-managerial employees at VPPPA member sites who have taken the initiative to learn and apply safety and health best practices. Candidates are expected to fulfill the program criteria and complete a workbook containing questions on the major elements of workplace safety and health. The program is geared toward hourly, non safety and health workers at VPPPA member sites. Those certified in safety and health professional fields are not eligible to apply (i.e. - Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH), Professional Engineers (PE) and Certified Safety Professionals (CSP)). How do I get started? In order to enter the VPPPA Safety & Health Achievement Program, candidates must be prequalified by completing the Achievement Award Application (This page is accessible to VPPPA Members only). VPPPA Safety & Health Achievement Program award winners will be recognized at the 28th Annual National VPPPA Conference, August 20-23, 2012, in Anaheim, CA. Winners receive a commemorative award and gain visibility in VPPPA publications and the national media. In addition, a letter of distinction is sent to key individuals, including the winner's CEO, plant manager and OSHA officials. Program Criteria
