Why Join?

The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA), is the premier association representing occupational safety and health. VPPPA is a non-profit association made up of sites where workplace safety and health are top priorities for both hourly employees and management. We provide unique opportunities for our members to exchange ideas, share best practices and discover fresh approaches to implementing and/or improving your site’s safety and health programs. Joining provides sites with the tools they need to accomplish their safety and health goals and to reduce overall injury rates and eliminate fatalities.

FAQs

How much does it cost to join?

VPPPA keeps annual dues low by establishing membership on a site-by-site basis (membership benefits cannot be shared with other sites); however, the benefits of membership extend to every employee at each member worksite. Costs are determined based on the number of employees at your site and by where you are in your safety and health process. Dues information can be found here.

What is the difference between Full, Associate and Affiliate membership?

Full membership is for VPP sites approved by OSHA, DOE or state-plan-state VPP sites. Associate memberships are companies who are working toward VPP or toward safety and health excellence. Affiliate membership is a category for VPPPA vendor companies that sell top of the line safety and health products to VPP companies.

I am not pursuing VPP, is there value in joining VPPPA?

Absolutely. All of our members have one thing in common and that is a passion for safety and health and a dedication to making work safer for their employees and colleagues. VPPPA is an association dedicated to providing resources to any site seeking to improve their overall safety and health programs. All of our webinars, workshops and conferences will provide resources that you need to improve your site’s safety record, no matter what your safety status is. If you are looking for new best practices to implement or looking to reduce injuries at your site, VPPPA has tools that can help you.

What are the benefits of membership?

Members receive a number of benefits ranging from discounts on professional development, association publications, member-only access to best practices and the job exchange to a number of networking opportunities.
