Transportation in New Orleans

Taxis are available at the New Orleans Airport as well as the New Orleans Marriott and the Sheraton New Orleans. The average fare is $36 one-way. If you are planning to drive to the event, you may park at the hotel you are staying at. Conference participants staying at the New Orleans Marriott will receive a 30 percent discount on valet parking rates for a price of $30.10/night plus taxes. Conference participants staying at the Sheraton New Orleans will receive a 20 percent discount on valet parking rates for a price of $33.60/night plus taxes.

Avoid “Housing Pirates”

We have been informed that registrants have been contacted by fax, email or phone with offers for cut rate housing. The intent is to convince you that the offer is made on behalf of VPPPA, or that the soliciting company is a viable alternative to going to the hotel directly. This is NOT TRUE and generally leaves the conference attendee at a considerable disadvantage. Only use the phone numbers and links provided above to make your hotel reservations with the VPPPA conference hotels.
