Cintas Corporation announced that its location in Lake Charles, Louisiana received Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). VPP Star is their highest recognition for the practice of and commitment to exemplary occupational safety and health.

“One of the many benefits of achieving VPP is our employee-partners and their families know they are working for a company that puts their health and safety above all else,” stated John Hains, General Manager. “The Lake Charles partners earned this award because of their engagement and commitment to safe behaviors in the workplace. We are very proud to be recognized for safety excellence.

The Lake Charles operation employs 85 people in the state of Louisiana and has been a business partner with Southwest Louisiana for over 35 years.

Since 2011, a total of 51 Cintas facilities have been recognized under the VPP program. Cintas is currently ranked fourth in the entire nation for companies with VPP sites.
