Does the Safety+ Symposium have a dress code?
The dress code for the symposium is business casual. Most attendees wear slacks and either a polo or button-down shirt; the most important thing is to dress comfortably. There is no need to pack a suit or fancy dress. The event hotel and hall also tend to be chilly, so remember to bring a sweater or light jacket to wear during the workshops. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended as the hall is large and you may have to walk long distances between events.
What should I bring to the symposium?
Upon picking up your name badge, you will receive a complimentary tote bag which you can use throughout the conference and the expo. Although the workshop rooms will provide you with pens and notepads, a backup pen or pencil could come in handy. New this year, we will offer an Onsite Journal, which will have the symposium agenda and other essential symposium must-knows, as well as plenty of lined pages for note taking.
You are also encouraged to bring any mobile or tablet devices with you to access the Safety+ Mobile App – it’s great for finding the schedule, presentation sharing and social networking purposes. Any updates during the symposium, such as room, time, or schedule changes, will be communicated via the app.
There are plenty of water fountains around the Convention Center but we recommend bringing water or a water bottle as well.
The conference is a great opportunity to meet new people and learn about different ways to improve your safety and health program. Bring your business cards and don’t be afraid to ask new connections for theirs.
Will the symposium have Wi-Fi?
No, the convention hall areas will not have free wireless Internet access. If you are staying at the Gaylord, there is Wi-Fi in your room.
