Falls Church, VA – The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA) has joined the Board of Certified Safety Professionals® (BCSP®) as an Affiliate in support of the Global Learning Summit (GLS), a virtual safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) professional development event hosted by BCSP to take place May 10-12, 2022.“This is an incredible opportunity to make vital connections with the SH&E community,” said Terry Schulte, VPPPA Chairman of the Board. “We share BCSP’s mission of advancing the SH&E profession, and we are excited to be an Affiliate for the GLS.”

The Global Learning Summit (GLS) capitalizes on cutting-edge content delivery to provide a global audience with three days of high-quality professional development and educational opportunities. The GLS offers event attendees an opportunity to actively participate, network, and learn in a capacity that is convenient, affordable, and readily attainable.

“We are thrilled to be working with VPPPA to connect leading safety management systems experts with our Global Learning Summit attendees. The VPP and Management Systems track is an excellent opportunity to learn from our global safety leaders about what it takes to not only meet safety standards, but go above and beyond to keep every worker safe, everywhere,” said BCSP Chief Strategy Officer J.A. Rodriguez Jr, CSP, ASP. “The $25 US registration for 100+ hours of premium content is our way of partnering with VPPPA to bring affordable professional development to the world’s workforces.”

Attendees can access a full track focusing on the Voluntary Protection Program and Safety Management Systems, with several speakers from OSHA as well as safety leaders from VPP Star sites. This track offers an intro to the VPPPA, which connects safety professionals who are interested in taking their safety program to the next level with the resources and connections needed to achieve those goals.

The GLS will cost $25 per person to attend, and sessions are categorized into Educational Tracks dedicated to topics relevant to SH&E. Attendees will have access to the event content for 30 days following the event, and attendees will be eligible for BCSP recertification points.
